The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Midwest City woman died in a crash involving a semi and a car on Interstate 40 west of Henryetta Friday afternoon.

Troopers say Kelli Wilson was a passenger in a 2010 Honda Accord driven by Jennifer Bizeau, 33, also of Midwest City.

The OHP says the car was headed east when Bizeau slowed because of smoke across the highway and a 2015 Peterbilt semi driven by Daniel McCauley, 23, of Lexington, Oklahoma struck the Honda from behind.  Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers said the fatal crash remains under investigation.

The OHP said there were other wrecks in the area so it shut down all four lanes of the interstate.

A photo posted by Bryan Box on social media showed traffic at a standstill and smoke in the distance.

The OHP says it received information that a motorcycle and a minivan were pulled over along the shoulder of the area and the drivers likely witnessed the crash. They hope those people will come forward and contact the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
