Wreck, Car Fire Slows Traffic on I-44

All lanes of westbound Interstate 44 near Lewis are back after a car fire brought traffic to a standstill on Monday afternoon.

Osage SkyNews 6 HD pilot Will Kavanagh was first on the scene.

A multi-car wreck between the Peoria and Lewis exits appeared to have been rear-ended, resulting in a car fire.

The driver was treated at the scene.

Police and fire officials were there to control traffic and put out the fire.

Traffic was backed up in the westbound lanes of I-44 for about a mile and a half.
