Oklahoma Students Preparing For State Testing

State testing begins next week for elementary and middle school students. You'd think the week before state testing students would be buckling down or getting nervous.

That wasn't the case at Tulsa's Emerson Elementary on Friday.

Classroom are empty and the hallways are packed with screaming kids.

The rally is designed to get students excited about taking the stressful test.

"By having this rally, we're showing the students that we're supporting them; we're encouraging them to do their best on the test and everybody in this school is responsible for the state test,"  principal Tammy States said. 

States is encouraging all parents to make sure their kids get plenty of rest and eat right this weekend.
