The Rogers County Sheriff’s Office will be holding a safety and crime prevention awareness event on Saturday.

The event is called Spring Into Safety and will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016 in the parking lot of the Rogers County Courthouse in Claremore.

Representatives from the department’s Mounted Patrol Unit, Search and Rescue Team and K-9 Corps will be on hand for photograph opportunities. They'll also be giving tours, showing off equipment and handing out crime tip information.

Parents can get their children fingerprinted and the department is offering free fingerprinting for adults interested in obtaining a concealed carry permit process.

The event will also feature free document shredding for individuals as well as a drop-off for prescription drugs.

The office also promises giveaways and surprises, as well as free food and drinks.
