TPD: Dropped Round Discharges, Slightly Injuring Officer

EMSA responded to an unusual injury at the Gilcrease Police Division in Tulsa Wednesday morning. The call went out just after 8 a.m. at the division located at 3436 North Delaware.

A property recovery officer dropped a bag as she was transporting evidence, according to Office Leland Ashley, Tulsa Police.

A round within the bag hit the ground and exploded, he said. The officer received a minor injury from some shrapnel, he said. 

EMSA treated her at the scene, and she was able to get back to work.
