Two Tulsa women were injured in an apparent DUI collision on Interstate 44 before 2 a.m. on Sunday, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

OHP says a 2007 Ford 500, driven by Chelsey D. Lacy, 24, was eastbound on I-44 at a high rate of speed when she attempted to exit at Lewis Avenue. The report says she ran off the roadway, struck a light pole, a one-way sign and hit the curb multiple times before coming to rest on 51st Street.

Lacy was taken by EMSA to a local hospital with head and trunk internal injuries and is said to be stable, OHP says.

The passenger in Lacy's vehicle, 21-year-old Sara L. Baskin, was transported with head and trunk internal injuries and also is said to be stable, the report says.

Both women were wearing seat belts, according to the report.
