Tulsa Police arrested a 36-year-old man and say another is in the hospital after a shooting over money.

Officers believe Brande Samuels was among several people at a house in the 200 block of East 55th Street North when an argument started over $200 that someone may have stolen.

Police say Samuels fired two shots, one hit a man in the head and the other missed his wife. Both victims ran to a nearby school to call 911.

Police Captain Mike Williams said although the male victim was shot in the head, he's expected to recover.

"He was up, walking around, talking," said Williams said. "It sounds like a blessing to me."

Police say shortly after they arrested Samuels, they found what they believe is the gun used in the shooting in a trash can.

Police booked Brande Samuels into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of shooting with intent to kill and possession of a firearm during commission of felony.

Jail records show he has a court appearance set for April 7.
