Police, Volunteers, Citizens Honored In Sand Springs

Sand Springs honored police officers, volunteers and citizens Tuesday night.

It was a time for the community to say thank you to the first responders who do so much for the city. The city also awarded two people the Medal of Honor.

"I think recognizing the employees’ work is a way to reinforce that we are out there doing good things every day," said Sand Springs police chief, Mike Carter.
