Tulsa Police arrested two sisters they say are responsible for three different robberies, stealing from elderly women, a mother with child, and another woman with special needs.

Officers say Shatana and Jammie Bethel took several purses from customers outside different businesses Saturday afternoon.  Two of the robberies happened near 71st and Highway 75 - the other near 61st and Lewis.

One of the victims was 76 and another 73, according to an arrest report. In the third robbery, police say the sisters approached two women - one putting a child in a child seat.

The second woman intervened, and the sisters badly beat them both, officers say. The second woman was special needs, the arresting officer states.
Those victims had injuries on their faces after they say the women assaulted them.

Both women were booked into jail on first-degree robbery charges.
