Man In Stolen Car Runs, Hides In Motel Room Crawl Space, Tulsa Police Say

Police arrested a man they say ran from police and hid in a motel room early Friday morning.

According to police, Joe Williams was driving a car and acting suspiciously when he was spotted by an officer patrolling near Admiral and Memorial.

Police said a traffic stop was initiated, and Williams pulled into the Rest Inn parking lot, but he got out of his car and ran inside a room and hid in a crawl space in the wall.

He finally came out after about 30-40 minutes and was arrested, police said.

Officers said they were able to confirm Williams was driving a stolen car and had a felony warrant out for his arrest.
