A cold front has entered northeastern Oklahoma and the National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Watch for Friday evening until Saturday morning.
The front is also bringing showers and gusty northeast winds.
Because of the front, temperatures will rise only into the lower 50s on Friday before dropping Friday afternoon.
Once the front moves through, the skies will clear and the temperatures will dip below freezing for much of northeast Oklahoma Friday night and into Saturday morning.
Counties the Freeze Watch include Adair, Cherokee, Craig, Creek, Delaware, Mayes, Muskogee, Nowata, Okmulgee, Ottawa, Pawnee, Rogers, Tulsa, Wagoner and Washington.
The National Weather Service says temperatures will again dip below freezing Saturday night and into Sunday morning.
