The state of Oklahoma's budget shortfall has Bixby Public Schools ending their school year a bit early.
The school district announced Friday that classes will end May 12 instead of May 20, in an effort to cut current year costs.
On their website the school district says savings as result of changing the last day of school is significant for Bixby Public Schools. They say closing early will save the district roughly $100,000.
Overall, the district says they are short $630,000 in revenue from the state.
