Del City Man Dies In Tulsa Crash

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Del City man died Thursday night in a crash on the southwest corner of the Inner Dispersal Loop.

Troopers said the crash happened at about 11 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the IDL at Jackson Avenue.

They said John Reid, 31, was driving a 1999 Chevy pickup when he failed to negotiate a right turn, ran up a concrete embankment, struck a sign and was ejected. 

EMSA took Reid to a Tulsa hospital where he was pronounced dead several hours later.

The OHP says the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
