A mother was taken to the hospital and her boyfriend to jail after Tulsa Police say he used a Taser on her while driving Wednesday.
Police said Joseph Houk, 33, was driving north in the 2100 block of North Memorial just before 5:45 p.m. when he apparently got into a domestic argument with his girlfriend.
Officers said Houk lost control of the car while Tasing the victim. The car jumped the median and struck a southbound car. The driver of that car suffered minor injuries.
The girlfriend is also expected to be OK.
Witnesses said Houk got out of the car and ran. They told police Houk dropped a pistol into the trash at a nearby QuikTrip. He was arrested after surrendering to a police officer a short time later.
Police said they found drugs and components of a meth lab in the trunk of Houk's car.
Joseph Houk was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, manufacture of a controlled and dangerous substance, possession of a firearm and reckless driving.
