Tulsa Police caught a man early Thursday after they said he tried to run from officers twice in the past week.

The latest incident happened just after 12:30 a.m. when police tried to stop 50-year-old Timothy Fields' car in the 7700 block of East Independence for driving with an expired tag.

They said Fields sped off reaching speeds of 95 miles per hour.  Police eventually stopped the car when they used stop sticks at 36th Street North and Yale.

Police said during the chase, they witnessed Fields toss a baggie from the car. They are still looking for it.

A police officer involved in this chase recognized the car as one he had chased a week ago.  That time, Fields got away.

Timothy Fields was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints including eluding, not having a driver's license, destroying evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jail record show Fields is also wanted in Osage County.
