Former Porter Coach Pleads No Contest To Sex Charge

A former Porter teacher and coach pleaded no contest to a sex charge this week.

Wagoner County deputies arrested Johnny Scott in November of 2013. He was then charged with performing a lewd act in the presence of a minor as well as lewd molestation.

On Monday, February 22, 2016 he pleaded no contest to the first charge and prosecutors dropped the second charge.

Deputies said the investigation began on Halloween 2013, when they received reports about at a coach at Porter Schools.

According to court documents, the judge gave Scott a 5-year suspended sentence and ordered him to register as a level one sex offender.
