The Federal Emergency Management Agency denied help for individuals and business owners affected by December's winter storm.

Governor Mary Fallin requested assistance for homeowners, renters and business owners in Adair, Cherokee, Delaware, Mayes, McCurtain, Muskogee, Ottawa, Pushmataha and Sequoyah counties.

Oklahoma's Emergency Management Director, Albert Ashwood, said he may appeal the decision.

Wednesday, FEMA approved help for 41 counties to pay for repairs to infrastructure.
