Crash Causes Gas Pump Fire At Broken Arrow Convenience Store

A truck crash at a Broken Arrow Kum & Go store caused gas pump-vehicle fire Saturday morning.  

The incident happened just before 10 a.m. at the store at 101st and Elm.  

Broken Arrow Police said the driver of a Pods Storage truck told them he had suffered a medical condition while driving, just prior to the crash. Officers said his truck hit a power pole, broke it before continuing on and striking the fuel island at the convenience store.

The crash and resulting fire shut down the intersection. Power lines from the broken pole were also knocked to the ground.
