A Grove man was arrested after a high-speed chase overnight. Darwin L. Springer, 50, was treated for minor injuries after he ran from police when they tried to pull him over late Saturday night.
Springer fled at speeds reaching at least 100 m.p.h., the Grove Sun reports. Springer had outstanding warrants stemming from 2009 charges for methamphetamine and marijuana possession.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers joined Grove police on the chase, which went out of town on Highway 59 before returning to the city limits. Authorities eventually did a tactical stop, and Springer was treated for minor injuries at the Grove hospital.
