Tulsa Man Shot In Ankle During Apparent Carjacking Attempt

A man told police he was shot at a Tulsa apartment complex overnight by men attempting to steal his car - while he was in it.

Police responded to a report of shots fired at the Comanche Park Apartments around 11 p.m. They didn't find anyone when they got there.

A little while later, they were called to the hospital where the man was being treated for a gunshot wound to his ankle. He told police he drove off when the men approached him, and that's when they opened fire on him.

He's expected to be OK. Police said his car has several bullet holes in it.
