An arrest has been made in connection to a Friday night shooting in Ardmore, the CBS affiliate in Sherman, Texas, is reporting.
Around 8:30 p.m. Friday, Ardmore police received a call about a shooting in the 1100 block of B Street Northwest.
"They got there and found a juvenile female had been shot," Ardmore Police Investigator Brice Wooley told KXII.
Investigators say according to witnesses, a man and woman had an argument before a shot was heard. Police believe it was a domestic situation and not drug-related, the station says.
Police said witnesses were able to give police information that led them to Craig Anderson, and he was detained and questioned, then later arrested for shooting with intent to kill.
According to police, the victim was shot in the head. Few details have been released, but Wooley says he talked to the victim's family around noon on Saturday.
"I spoke with her mother over the phone and her mother reported that she was stable but serious and that she was in and out of consciousness," he said.
Neighbors told KXII they've had to call police to the same home.
"We've had seven calls there in the last month," Wooley told the station. "It is a location that's known to law enforcement, and we've been there numerous time."
