Back in December, Tulsa Head Coach Philip Montgomery said he'd likely hire people he has worked with to fill the opening roles on his coaching staff.
He did just that on Friday by hiring two familiar assistants: Beau Trahan and Jordan Najvar.
Trahan, who was most recently Baylor's recruiting coordinator and played quarterback and safety for the Texas Longhorns, will be Tulsa's new quarterbacks coach.
Najvar, who was a three-year starting tight end at Baylor, will join the Golden Hurricane in a quality control role.
After going with co-offensive coordinators last year, Tulsa has decided not have an offensive coordinator this year. Montgomery is the play caller and is heavily involved with the offensive backs.
