Haileyville Teacher Arrested For Buying Meth From Student

A Haileyville teacher was arrested after law enforcement said they found evidence he bought methamphetamine from a student.

According to a news release, on Thursday, the District 18 Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force arrested Nathan Cato. Cato works as an agricultural teacher in Haileyville.

The release says the Haileyville Police Department received information that a student admitted to the superintendent he sold drugs to Cato.

During their investigation, agents said they located and seized the methamphetamine and arrested Cato.

Agents said they believe Cato had been purchasing methamphetamine from the student for an extended time.
