Tulsa Police Chase Ends With Crash Into Fire Hydrant

Police arrested a man they say led officers on a chase across Tulsa early Wednesday.

The identify the suspect as Darrell Crawford, 27, of Tulsa.

Officers said the chase began at 1 a.m. near Pine and Peoria after they spotted the Chevy Monte Carlo speeding through a residential area.

Police chased the car as it headed east on 28th Street North. It failed to make a turn onto Trenton and struck a fire hydrant, ending the chase.

Police said Crawford ran off, but they caught up to him quickly. They booked him into the Tulsa County jail on a complaint of operating a motor vehicle without a license.
