Investigators are working to figure out what caused a fire that damaged a home near Pine and North Sheridan early this morning.
Tulsa Fire District 4 Chief Bryan Hickerson said a man and a pregnant woman were in the house when it started.
Crews say the fire started in a bedroom and spread through most of the house. Luckily, the man was awake and heard the fire start around 4 a.m.
"The male was up working in the home and heard it light off," Hickerson said. "I guess he was doing some painting or something. He got everybody out of the home."
The fire started in a bedroom area then moved into the living room, he said.
Much of the home was damaged. PSO had to shut down a nearby power line that was arcing as firefighters worked to put out the house fire.
