The News On 6 WARN team says Christmas Day in eastern Oklahoma will see temps in the upper 50s and lower 60s before rain enters the state late Friday.
The pleasant weather comes to an end early Saturday as a cold front pushes into the state. With the front expect brisk north winds, falling temperatures and heavy rains for the eastern half of Oklahoma.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for most of eastern Oklahoma from late Friday until Sunday night.
Flooding is expected both Saturday and Sunday after the rain starts falling. Rainfall totals of 6 to 8 inches are expected especially south and east of Interstate-44 through Sunday night.

Counties in the flash flood watch include Adair, Cherokee,Choctaw, Haskell, Latimer, LeFlore, McIntosh, Muskogee, Pittsburg, Pushmataha and Sequoyah.
The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard watch for Cimarron County in the Oklahoma Panhandle, extending from Saturday evening through Sunday morning.
Forecasters say snow accumulations of up to 6 inches are possible in the area.
