Skull With Possible Gunshot Wound Found Near Lake Eufaula

Law enforcement is investigating after they received a call of a human skull found near Lake Eufaula.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, just before 11:00 Thursday morning, troopers received a call from the Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Office regarding the skull with a possible gunshot wound.

They said the skull was found near the Turkey Flat area of Arrowhead State Park on Lake Eufaula.

Several troopers, the medical examiner, the Pittsburg County Sheriff’s Office and a game warden searched the area for more remains but none were found.

The ME’s office took possession of the skull for further analysis.
