The City of Tulsa is asking local citizens who have taken photos of Tulsa this month to share them with the city for a photo essay video it is producing.
Tulsa is asking for original photos of Tulsa landmarks and activities that depict "Healthy Communities, Healthy People," the theme for National Community Planning Month.
City officials say the photos will be compiled in a video "This is Tulsa - Through Many Eyes." It will then be posted on the City of Tulsa's website as well as on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
You can send your photos via email to mschultz@cityoftulsa.org before October 31. Submitters will need to include a brief description and if you want, name and age of the photographer.
Additionally, the photo must be in a JPEG format, not exceed 8 MB and most importantly, not taken from another source. Please observe basic guidelines of civility as outline in the City of Tulsa Social Media Policy.
The City of Tulsa reserves the right to exclude photos deemed inappropriate to the 2015 theme. No compensation to the photographer from the City of Tulsa is associated with this activity and participants agree to allow submitted photos to be used in City of Tulsa online and print publications.
