Tulsa Police arrested a man they say attacked two officers and another prisoner while being booked on drug and other complaints Monday. Preston Leroy Williams had to be Tased three times at the jail, according to an arrest report.

Officers took Williams into custody after a disturbance in the 1000 block of Southwest Boulevard. He had an outstanding warrant for being a felon in possession of a firearm, the arrest report states. The arresting officer said Williams had baggies of methamphetamine and a hypodermic needle on him.

The 26-year-old Tulsa man was "very belligerent and verbally abusive" during the arrest but didn't get violent until they arrived at the jail, according to police.

When he got out of the squad car, Williams noticed a pack of cigarettes had fallen from his pocket to the seat of the car. That's when he started fighting, according to police.

While in a holding cell, Williams started kicking at another prisoner who knew him by name. He kicked one officer in the groin and another in the stomach, police say.

Three police officers eventually got Williams under control after Tasing him three times.

The Tulsa man was booked on two complaints of assault and battery on a police officer, possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia, resisting arrest, obstruction and public intoxication.  His bond was set at $51,350.
