Tulsa police say a person was shot in the chest multiple times after 8 p.m. on Sunday night near Mohawk and Hartford.

Investigators say he is in critical condition. The shooting victim has been identified as 29-year-old Dam M. Dyer.

Witnesses told TPD they saw a white sport utility vehicle and a white Ford Crown Victoria at the intersection, and it appeared as thought they were about to drag race.

A short time later, between 12-14 shots were fired, witnesses said.

The SUV crashed through a carport, wound up in someone’s backyard and police found Dyer inside bleeding.

The car took off west down Mohawk Boulevard, witnesses said.

There is not a clear description of the shooter.
