Tulsa Police say an attempted armed robbery in east Tulsa may be linked to other robberies last week. Two men tried to get into a safe at the El 7 Marez Restaurant at 21st and Garnett overnight Saturday.

Employees were taking out the trash just after 1 a.m. when they were approached by two men with guns, according to Tulsa police. It's believed at least one of the men was wearing a mask.

Police say the robbers forced their way inside the restaurant but were unable to open the safe. They left in a small, dark-colored car going northbound on Garnett. No one was hurt, according to police.

Officers told News On 6 the men may be responsible for similar robberies last week.

If you know anything that can help police, call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
