Man Arrested After Carjacking, Robbery In Claremore

A Claremore man is in the Rogers County jail after a robbery and carjacking incident late Wednesday.

A Claremore man is in the Rogers County jail after a robbery and carjacking incident Wednesday night.

Police say the man pulled a gun and took the victim's shoes, cell phone and car.  

Claremore officers said they soon spotted the man driving the car. They said he was being followed by his mother in another car. Police said Morales had told his mom to follow him so she could give him a ride after dropped the car off at a friend's.

Police tried to stop the man but he took off. Claremore Police got help from the Tulsa Police helicopter. They finally located and arrested the suspect at his mother's home in the 400 block of North Florence.

They identified the suspect as Mason Morales, 24. They booked him into the Rogers County jail on a complaints of robbery and possession of a firearm.  

Police said they did not arrest Morales' mother.
