Owasso Police arrested a 14-year-old student for threatening a violent act at the Owasso 8th Grade Center Tuesday. Administrators notified police that the male student made threats of bringing a gun to school to shoot two other students.
"Within minutes of the threat being reported, Owasso School Resource Officers located the juvenile suspect and removed him from class," Deputy Chief of Police Jason Woodruff said in a news release.
The teen had a CO2-powered pellet pistol in his backpack, according to police. He was removed from school and has been taken to a juvenile detention center.
His name has not been released due to his age.
