Suicide Call Leads Owasso Police To Marijuana Growing Operation

Police checking on a report of a suicidal individual at an Owasso home found 12 marijuana plants growing inside.

Officers arrested Mark Self, 55, after they went to his home in the 13200 block of East 90th Street North Tuesday afternoon and noticed a strong odor of marijuana when he opened the front door.  

After obtaining a search warrant, police found the plants with growing lights in a bedroom, three mason jars filled with marijuana in the kitchen and 37 hydrocodone pills inside a closet safe.  

Owasso Police booked Mark Self into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of possession of marijuana, cultivation of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jail records show Mark Self is being held a $22,250 bond with a court appearance set for September 9.
