TU Student Hit By Car While Chalking Sidewalk

A University of Tulsa student is in the hospital after being hit by a car.

It happened around 7:30 Tuesday night on the TU campus.

Firefighters on scene said the woman was drawing with chalk in the roadway. The woman's mother told News On 6 that wasn't true, that her daughter was on the sidewalk a great distance from the road when the car hit her and kept going.

Students often decorate the road and sidewalks before football games.

Firefighters also said officers have found the driver of the car.
