A Tulsa police officer was injured in a two-car collision in north Tulsa Tuesday afternoon. He was taken to the hospital but is expected to be OK.
Police say the officer was in a patrol unit driving eastbound on 36th Street North. A man driving a truck was westbound lane turned left onto Yale and hit the patrol car.
"He violated traffic law by failing to yield on a left turn," said to Corporal J.D. Curran. A K9 officer who happened to be nearby witnessed the wreck and called it in.
It happened around 2 p.m., Curran said.
