A Broken Arrow couple was taken to a Tulsa hospital after a motorcycle crash on a Mayes County highway Sunday morning, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened on Highway 412-A just west of county road 437 at about 9 a.m.

The OHP says Rickey Decker, 61, was driving his motorcycle east on 412-A when the motorcycle ran off the highway on a curve and rolled over. The wreck threw him and his passenger, Vickie Decker, 57, from the motorcycle.

Troopers said Decker was driving too fast for the road and neither Decker was wearing a helmet.

The OHP says Rickey Decker was admitted to the hospital with head and leg injuries. Vickie Decker was treated and released with similar injuries.
