A former Broken Arrow football star and OSU recruit is in jail.
According to a news release, the Oklahoma Violent Crimes Task Force took Devon Thomas, 20, into custody in the 9500 block of East 65 Street in Tulsa at about 10:30 Thursday night.
He was wanted for an armed robbery on July 23, 2015.
Police said a man told them he and a juvenile went to the 600 block of East Dallas Street to give someone a ride when they were met by Thomas and another juvenile.
They said Thomas had a small handgun and demanded everything they had. When the victims refused, Thomas and the other juvenile assaulted them, police said.
News On 6 spoke to Thomas on August 24 and he said the accusation was bogus and claimed someone was blackmailing him.
