Stolen Trailers, Homemade Explosive Found In Sallisaw Traffic Stop

Sallisaw Police arrested two men on theft and weapon complaints after stopping a pickup that was pulling two trailers early Monday.

Sallisaw Police arrested two men on theft and weapon complaints after stopping a pickup that was pulling two trailers early Monday.  

Police said a check revealed both trailers had been reported stolen. One was empty the other was loaded with a welder. Officers found a homemade explosive device and a gun in the truck.  

They arrested Jessie Nutt, 20, of Vian and Rickey Webster, 25, of Tulsa.

Police said they returned one of the trailers to its owner.  They are still looking for the owner of the other trailer which they believe was stolen in Sequoyah County.

They said federal authorities are investigating the homemade explosive found in the pickup.
