Tulsa Police say a family of four robbed the Good Samaritan who stopped to help them.

The victim told police he felt sorry for a man and woman carrying a one-month-old and 10-month-old as they walked on East Pine so he stopped and offered them a ride.

He told police once the family got into his car, the man pulled a pistol and demanded money and his cell phone. When the family got out of the car and went inside an apartment on East Virgin, the man called police.

Tulsa Police went to the apartment and arrested Marco Briggs, 29, and his wife, Brittani Cordrey, 25.

Officers found the cell phone and the pistol hidden in the one-month-old's car seat in the apartment.

Police booked Briggs into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of armed robbery, possession of a firearm and stolen property and child neglect. They booked Cordrey on complaints of armed robbery and child neglect.

Jail records show Marco Briggs was being held on $253,000 bond and Brittani Cordrey on $100,000 bond. Both have court appearances set for August 27.
