Shots were fired during a family dispute Sunday afternoon in the 2400 block of West Newton Court. One person was hurt but not seriously, according to Tulsa Police.

Officers said a woman got into an argument with her daughter's boyfriend and another male family member intervened. The boyfriend reportedly pulled a gun and shot once in the air.

The woman's brother then threatened to go get his gun, and the boyfriend fired again, this time into the ground, an officer at the scene said. The male relative was hit by shrapnel - possibly concrete, according to police. He didn't want to go to the hospital.

The boyfriend left the scene, and police were still investigating.
