Man Impersonates Officer, Gropes Victim, Deputies Say

The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who they say impersonated a police officer then groped and attacked a woman.

The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who they say impersonated a police officer then groped and attacked a woman.

According to a news release, on August 14 around noon in the 300 block of North 49 West Avenue, a female was pulled over by a man driving a Crown Vic with red and blue lights on it.

Reports say the man approached the woman and asked for her license and insurance verification. They say as the woman reached for the items, the man reached into the car and groped her.

They said the woman hit the man who then punched her in the face before going back to his car and driving off.

The impersonator is described as a white male in his mid to late 20s with brown, close-cut hair with gel in it. He’s said to be 5-feet-7-inches to 5-feet-8-inches tall and around 180 pounds.

The woman said he was wearing sunglasses, a bulletproof vest, a black utility belt and the gun was on the left side.

The vehicle was last seen in the westbound lanes of Highway 64 from 49 West Avenue. It’s described as a black, late 90s to early 2000 model Ford Crown Vic with white doors and the word “SECURITY” on the top of the trunk.

According to the report, it had red and blue lights in the grill and red and blue lights in a small overhead light bar.
