Tulsa police have informed News On 6 of some new developments in the death of a well-known restaurant owner. Police originally believed Jim Coulson, owner of Ted's Hamburgers, was stabbed to death.
Homicide Sergeant Dave Walker said Saturday that it appears more likely Coulson was shot. They are waiting on the autopsy results before the final determination is made, he said.
Employees found the 65-year-old man's body early Friday morning in the restaurant.
"It appeared that Coulson arrived to open the business at around 7:45 a.m. as was his routine when he would prepare the business for opening," Walker said.
"His white Chevrolet Tahoe was parked and everything appeared to be normal. It is believed that shortly before 8 a.m. an unknown assailant confronted Coulson. Coulson was injured and collapsed inside the business."

"Whether Coulson was shot or stabbed did not matter to the collection of evidence and the pursuit of his killer," Walker said in a news release.
Police continue to investigate to find the motive and possible suspects. If you know anything that can help police with this crime, call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
