Back-to-school shopping brings in tens of billions of dollars to stores nationwide.
In Oklahoma and some other states, this is a sales-tax free weekend on many back-to-school items.
And the stores are stocked and ready.
Ladies and gentlemen, start your shopping carts.
"This is our second biggest shopping season behind holiday and Christmas," Walmart’s Erica Jones said.
The Walmart Supercenter in Broken Arrow is loaded, Jones said.
"Pants shirts shorts socks underwear... those are things you don't think about on back to school,” she said.
Your school require uniforms? They have uniforms.
Your kid into superheroes?
Got that, too.
Superman, Batman and Ninja Turtles.
"I grew up a fan of Ninja Turtles and now they are back,” Jones said. “Donatelo, Michaelangelo,
Leonardo and Rafael.”
Nicely done. Fans of the WWE?
“I know John Cena," Jones said.
They have Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan stuff, too.
Of course, here's what's important: If your kids can wear it, and it is priced less than $100, it's tax free. There are some exceptions.
Dresses, yes, but hair bows that go with it are not on sale tax holiday.
So clothes, shoes yes... accessories not always.... and unlike some neighboring states,
no school supplies.
"So no to the backpacks, no to the folders, no to the Sharpies,” Jones said. “But look at the fun colors we've got Sharpies in now... orange yellow blue."
She says use the tax savings on supplies, plenty of things under a dollar.
