The Tulsa Zoo is holding a birthday party on Saturday for the endangered Malayan tiger cubs born a year ago.

The zoo says the trio Henry, Leon and Ava will receive special enrichment, including individual ice cakes at a party at 9:30 a.m.

Native to the Malay Peninsula, it is estimated that only 250 to 340 Malayan tigers remain in the wild.  The zoo says their birth was in conjunction with the Species Survival Plan that manages species in Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

The Tulsa Zoo recently broke ground on a new tiger exhibit, Lost Kingdom: Helmerich Tiger Exhibit.
