Man's Body Found At Okmulgee Apartment Complex

Okmulgee Police are investigating after a man's body was found early Wednesday at an apartment complex.

Police Chief Joe Prentice says officers got a call at about 4:20 a.m. about a man lying on the ground at the Creek Forest Apartments just off Highway 62 near the Okmulgee hospital.  

He says police believe the victim was in his early 20s. He was pronounced dead at the scene.  

Prentice says there were signs of trauma to the body, but the official cause and manner of death will be determined by the state Medical Examiner's Office.

Police aren't releasing the name of the victim because they're still notifying his family.
