Police in Broken Arrow and Tulsa say two armed robbers were unsuccessful after separate incidents late Tuesday and early Wednesday.
Broken Arrow Police say an armed robber got away with nothing after a drug store clerk thought the man was kidding about a robbery late Tuesday.
Officers said a man pulled up to the drive-thru window at the Walgreens store at Kenosha and Lynn Lane at about 11 p.m. and showed the clerk what appeared to be a gun. He told the clerk he wanted some pills, but police said the clerk didn't believe him.
Police said when the clerk left the window to call police, the man drove off.
About two hours later, a Tulsa motel clerk locked herself in an office after a man walked into the lobby armed with a pistol.
It happened at the La Quinta Inn and Suites on North 67th East Avenue near Tulsa International Airport.
Police said the man walked in to the lobby and jumped the counter.
Officers said he tried to take money from the register but couldn't get any out so he ran out the front doors.
