Tulsa dog owners might want to mark August 8th and 9th on your calendars.
The Tulsa Park and Recreation Department says after the city's public swimming pools all close by August 6, they'll reopen two of the pools briefly to allow dogs to take part in the annual K9 Splash.
The department says Reed Pool will open on August 8 and McClure Pool will open on August 9 for the event. Dog owners can bring their dog to either pool from 1-2:30 p.m. and 3 to 4:30 p.m. on the two days.
Tickets are $5 for each dog and must be purchased prior to the event at the Reed Community Center at 4233 South Yukon and the Hicks Community Center at 3443 South Mingo.
The department says all dogs will need to have their shots current and be on a leash when they arrive and leave. Lifeguards will be on duty.
