Masked Man Robs South Tulsa Bank

Police say a man wearing a mask walked in the bank at 42nd Street and Garnett Road around 11 a.m., made threats and got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Tulsa police are investigating a robbery at the IBC Bank on 42nd Street and South Garnett.

Police say a man wearing a mask and implying a weapon walked in the bank around 11 a.m., made threats and got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Several people were inside the bank at the time, including employees who witnessed the whole thing. Witnesses are giving information to police at this time.

Police say they will release surveillance photos of the robber soon.

The man is described as between 50-55 years old and black with a natural hairstyle. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt, cargo pants and a white bandana, police said.

Witnesses said he left the bank northbound in a greenish- or aqua-colored Ford Taurus on Garnett, then west on East 41st Street.
