Deputies: Tulsa Man Arrested After Admitting To Shaking Baby

Deputies arrested a father who admitted to shaking his baby daughter so badly she ended up in a Tulsa hospital.

Deputies were sent to the hospital Tuesday evening after the Department of Human Services got a call about possible child abuse. 

Deputies said the baby had bruising on her arms, chest and shoulders. Doctors told police a CT scan showed bleeding on the brain. They said the infant had suffered several seizures and was on a ventilator.

Jacob Tyre, 20, told detectives he had gotten frustrated because his daughter would not stop crying and that he shook her. 

Deputies booked Tyre into the Tulsa County jail on a complaint of child abuse. Jail records show he was being held on a $50,000 bond with a court appearance set for July 29.

The arrest report did not list an age for the baby.
